Please do not use or link or "hot link" without permission. Doing so is called bandwidth theft and we don't like that. Our Abbey has a limited budget for bandwidth and it is important that everyone who wishes to view our pages can do so with out the server crashing thanks to a hotlink'ed blog entry. Privacy Policy Statement
We at the Maysville Abbey take your privacy as seriously as we take our own. We completely refuse to sell or give or in any way transfer our client list including but not limited to any e-mail address, name, phone number, postal address, likeness, etc. We also go one step further by refusing to do any business with any company or organization who doesn't hold themselves to a privacy policy such our own.
We do collect information about the browsers that surf our website. Our logs are generated by our web hosting service FortuneCity and Google's Analytics and so we have no control over their privacy policies nor how their cookies or image tags are applied. However we have locked the directories that hold onto these anonymous log files and only persons under our direct control view these log files upon computers within our own secured network.
It is also important to note that we use PayPal, Inc for our financial transactions. We do not have control over their privacy policies nor how their cookies or image tags are applied.
If you sign up for our newsletter(s) it is of your own free will. Please do be aware that we will be e-mailing you a copy of this newsletter to the e-mail address you provided as it is published. This isn't spam, we hate spam as much as you do.
We strive to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and Rule (aka-COPPA&R and aka-COPPA) as such we do not automatically attempt to collect any personal information about our visitors of any age. The notable exceptions of our information collecting are with our Newsletter(s) which collect e-mail addresses by the user's own free will. Note again that we utilize FortuneCity as our hosting service provider and Google's Analytics site log program(s). The data collected is archived in a secured manner on a secured network. The data we retrieve from those logs is basically how, when and where a user entered and browsed through our web site and also includes basic browser reporting information such as screen resolution and operating system. We use this information to better our web site and bring more content to our visitors.
